Aishwarya returns 'Heroine' signing amount

The buzz is she also plans to send Madhur Bhandarkar and UTV a legal notice
The 'Heroine' chapter of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's life seems to be moving towards its end. Ash has returned the signing amount (rumoured to be about Rs 22 lakhs) that she had received for the Madhur Bhandarkar-UTV movie. She dropped out of the film after the news of her pregnancy was announced in June 2011, but since then she's been dragged into several issues related to the movie.

Aishwarya's spokesperson confirmed that she's returned the amount, and said, "It was just a token amount that she had got from UTV. She thought it was fair to return it, even though they insisted that she should keep it, considering she had shot for so many days.”

Ash apparently will send Madhur and UTV a notice so that they can't use any of the footage that was shot with her. She is believed to have shot for about eight days for the movie.

Now, Kareena Kapoor, who was the original choice for the lead role in 'Heroine', takes over the part

Aamir Khan and Anna Hazare

"Please end your fast," the superstar urges the revolutionary activist
Aamir Khan urged Anna Hazare to end his fast for a strong anti-corruption legislation, saying on August 27 that the 74-year-old was needed for future battles against graft.

"I am concerned (about his health). I am sure all of you are also worried about Anna's health," Aamir told the thousands gathered at the Ramlila Maidan here.

"I would like to request Annaji to bring an end to his fast. We are all very worried about him. It has been 12 days. The bill will take time and it should undergo the process, a lot of debates will have to take place... and they are mandatory," he added.

To express his support, Aamir flew down from Mumbai with his friend, filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani who made 'Lage Raho Munnabhai', which promoted Gandhigiri.

"We all need to stand in support of Annaji to bring a halt to this matter. The whole country is actively participating now but we need to understand that our support should not go waste," said the 46-year-old actor-filmmaker, who had also extended his support during Hazare's first fast for the Jan Lokpal bill in April.

Aamir also urged people to eradicate bribery at the individual level.

"After the bill passes, we have to make the choice - whether we want to take a bribe or not. That is what will bring the whole decision active in daily lives," he said.

However, before ending his speech, Aamir repeated himself: "We need Annaji's leadership. That is why I would like to request again that please consider my request and bring a halt to your fast."

While Aamir and Hirani were at the venue, people also sang the motivational song 'Chale Chalo' from Aamir's movie, the Oscar-nominated 'Lagaan', with the star joining in.

Earlier in the day, singer Sonu Nigam reached Ramlila Maidan to express his solidarity, and sang the hymn 'Vaishnav jan to'

Kareena Kapoor in 'Chammak Challo' from 'RA.One'

Get a sneak peek at Bebo in SRK's 'RA.One' chartbuster
It's just the first official teaser of 'Chammak Challo', the rocking number from Shah Rukh Khan's 'RA.One', but Kareena Kapoor sure is making a splash in it! Dressed in a bright red sari, Kareena gets dancing with SRK, showing off some cool steps - just the kind of thing to make this the next big item number.

And Bebo being Bebo has already started firing salvos at Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra, both of whom have special appearances/item numbers in her upcoming movie. Kareena said in a recent interview that comparisons with them didn't matter to her at all, as she was being offered movies which were performance-oriented while their appearances/item numbers could have been done by anyone, and weren't all that 'relevant' to the movies. Wow! Can't wait to hear how Kat and PC respond to that!

While Katrina has an item number in 'Bodyguard' where Kareena stars opposite Salman, Priyanka has a guest appearance in an entire sequence of 'RA.One'.

Kareena also went on to say that she wasn't insecure at all. Well, no one really doubted that at all!

Minissha Lamba gets threatening calls

She's being warned against attending an event in the US
Minissha Lamba is "flummoxed" after getting threatening calls from unknown numbers, and says that she would like to get to the bottom of the matter.

"It started recently when I received the first spate of calls from an international number and an Indian number, which turned out to be from somewhere in or around Haryana. At first I answered the phone. The callers from both numbers say the same thing - 'Don't attend the event in New York.'," she said.

She was expected to attend an Indo-American cultural event in New York August 25.

"I don't scare easily. And I am certainly not scared. But I am curious and suspicious. Why would I be threatened against going to a cultural event in New York? I've to get to the bottom of this," she said.
Minissha is in her own words, flummoxed.
"If it was a political event or maybe a cultural event in a hostile country I'd understand. But why shouldn't I attend an innocuous dinner event in New York meant to bring together NRIs and Indian personalities? It makes no sense," she said.

Minissha has passed on the two threatening numbers to her business managers. While the international one is impossible to call back on, the national one is far easier to locate.

"The voice on it is distinctly Haryanvi and very menacing. 'Tu agle hafte American jaane ka soch rahi hai? Tu nahin jayegi,' it says. Arrey baba kyon nahin jaaongi??? No answer."

The matter is not being reported to the cops.

The Indian number has been traced to the public phone booth in Haryana.

"Would you believe it, they're absolutely blase about it. When my business managers threatened to report the matter to the senior cops in Haryana they said, 'Do what you like' and hung up."

FIRST LOOK: Kareena and Imran in 'Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu'

Catch the stars get quirky in Karan Johar's romantic comedy
Karan Johar has revealed the first look of his next movie, the Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer 'Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu' on Facebook. And it's certainly a colourful pic!

The first image has Kareena and Imran walking on a busy street wearing quirky, oversized shades, and eating cotton candy.

It was also been shared on the Facebook page that the movie will release next Valentine's Day.

Karan had posted the link and tweeted, "And here's Dharma's (Productions) next!"

'Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu', being directed by Shakun Batra, was earlier called "Short Term Shaadi'. It was rumoured that the plot is an adaptation of the Hollywood film 'What Happens in Vegas', which starred Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher. Karan, however, had denied those stories.

Do you think Imran and Kareena make a good pair? Tell us what you think in our comments box below.

Salman Khan is the real ‘Don’

He won’t let SRK’s movie trailer be shown with ‘Bodyguard’
Salman Khan clearly doesn’t believe in forgiving and forgetting, particularly when it comes to nemesis Shah Rukh Khan. The latest is that Sallu has refused permission for SRK’s ‘Don 2’ trailer to be shown with his movie ‘Bodyguard’

While Salman has snubbed Shah Rukh, he has shown his fondness for SRk bestie Karan Johar and Hrithik Roshan. The trailers of their ‘Agneepath’ remake will be shown with ‘Bodyguard’, with Sallu’s blessings.

It would have made more sense to include the ‘Don 2’ trailer with ‘Bodyguard’ (which hits theatres on August 31), as the Farhan Akhtar directed film releases on December 25, 2011. ‘Agneepath’ will only be out in January 2012. But when Salman made his feelings know, what he wanted was what happened.

The problem between Salman and Shah Rukh began at Katrina Kaif’s birthday party in July 2008, when the latter allegedly made a disparaging comment about Aishwarya Rai, the former’s ex-girlfriend.

Since then, SRK has reached out to Salman more than once but always been rejected.

Interestingly, Salman quickly made up with Hrithik with whom he had somewhat of a war of words. Sallu had made some sharp comments about Duggu’s ‘Guzaarish’ when it released. Hrithik defended his movie, but also called up Salman to clear the air between them.

Katrina turns action heroine

Get a sneak peek at the rescue sequence from 'Main Krishna Hoon'
Kat will be seen doing an action sequence for the first time in Rajeev Ruia's upcoming animation movie 'Main Krishna Hoon', where she has a cameo.

"There is an action sequence with Katrina Kaif in the film. She has done marvellously. This is the first time that she is doing stunts like this," Rajeevsaid.

In the movie, there is a young boy called Krishna and an animated avatar of Krishna too.

"The sequence shows her saving the kid Krishna from goons," said Rajeev who had previously made 'My Friend Ganesha'.

Hrithik Roshan also has a special appearance in the movie.

Like 'My Friend Ganesha', this movie is also being made with composite animation where animated character will be seen interacting with live characters.

"The film also shows that the animated avatar of Krishna is a big fan of Hrithik Roshan and eager to meet him. The entire climax centres around Hrithik. How Krishna comes and meets Hrithik, interacts with him and so on," Rajeev added.

Releasing Diwali, the film has Juhi Chawla in the lead.

Aamir gets snubbing?

He's allegedly refused to be part of a high-profile TV show

Is the Aamir Khan-Shah Rukh Khan relationship still unstable? In the past, the two have taken digs at each other but things had improved after the duo seemed to bond at Imran Khan’s wedding. Now, it is possible that there might be simmering tensions between them again. Rumour has it that Aamir doesn’t want to be a part of UTV Star's new show ‘Live My Life’ because it is being produced by SRK's Red Chillies Entertainment

The show allows a fan to live the life of their favourite star for a day, and it seems that the producers were keen to start things off with Aamir, an obvious A-lister.

It was expected that the ‘Delhi Belly’ producer would agree as he shares a very good equation with UTV. Which is why Aamir’s apparent refusal was a shock.

Now, the show opens with Imran but the question remains – why did Aamir say no? It’s been speculated that he might have been too busy, he’s currently shooting for Reema Kagti’s as-yet-untitled film with Rani Mukherji. Was that the reason or did the star really not want to be associated with SRK? Watch this space for updates!

The place is quite close to renowned destinations such as Horsley Hills and Rishi Valley. The director is shooting an action sequence with his lead roles, in a railway station in this town with explosives and the heroes are said to pull off some never seen before sort of stunts.
A birdie reveals that this train blast sequence is what that marks a turning point in the film. Linguswamy has always tasted success with his action movies, and expectations are sky high on this film as well.

Salman Khan's secret health problem

Is he really headed to the US for treatment?

Salman Khan's health has been the subject of much speculation recently. There were rumours just last weekend that he had been admitted to the hospital and might have to undergo an angiography. Stories about a possible sciatica problem also did the rounds. While that wasn't true, now it's being said that Salman is suffering from nerve trouble.

Apparently, Sallu has been meeting with doctors for this, and courses of treatment are being discussed.

It's possible that Salman's super busy schedule had further intensified the problem. The star is currently promoting 'Bodyguard' and he's also been working on Yash Raj Films' 'Ek Tha Tiger'.

Supposedly, he also plans to cut down on work in the future so it doesn't affect his health. He is believed to have told his brothers Arbaaz and Sohail, whose movies 'Dabangg 2' and 'Sher Khan' he is working on, that shooting can only begin next year.
